What kinds of mods exist?

  • Visual presets that use post-processing layers (e.g., ReShade).
  • Community texture packs that replace the original assets in memory.
  • Quality-of-life patches such as additional input mappings.

General modding concepts

  • Mods are usually load-order sensitive; back up your settings before installing.
  • Disabling a mod and re-launching is the fastest way to bisect a problem.
  • Some mods may break compatibility with future Dusk updates.

Visual enhancements

ReShade is the most common visual layer because it’s post-processing — it doesn’t replace game assets. See the ReShade guide for setup notes.
