Dusk won't launch
Cause: Permissions, missing runtime libraries, or unsupported version.
First fix: Confirm your supported version, then re-run from a terminal to see the first error.
Disc image not recognized
Cause: Hash mismatch — Dusk cannot identify the file as a supported build.
First fix: Recompute SHA-1 on your own copy and compare to the supported list.
Black screen on launch
Cause: GPU driver, fullscreen mode, or display scaling.
First fix: Update GPU drivers, switch to windowed mode, then re-test.
Controller not detected
Cause: Steam Input vs system input collision, or driver conflict.
First fix: Disable conflicting input layers, then connect your controller.
Low FPS
Cause: Background load, unsupported settings, or thermal throttling.
First fix: Drop graphics settings one tier, then check thermals.
Audio issues
Cause: Sample-rate mismatch or output device change.
First fix: Set system audio to 48 kHz stereo, then restart Dusk.
Android crash
Cause: Storage permission missing or unsupported dump.
First fix: Grant storage permission and verify dump SHA-1.
Steam Deck issue
Cause: Gaming Mode launch options or controller layout.
First fix: Test in Desktop Mode first, then port the working config.
macOS permission issue
Cause: Gatekeeper / quarantine flag.
First fix: Allow the binary from System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Unsupported version
Cause: Your copy's SHA-1 doesn't match a listed build.
First fix: Confirm the hash, the region, and that the file isn't modified.
