Disc image not recognized

Almost every 'not recognized' error traces back to one thing: the file's SHA-1 doesn't match a build Dusk knows about.

Symptoms

  • Dusk reports your file is not a supported build.
  • First-launch wizard rejects the path you provided.
  • Hash check fails silently.

Likely causes

  • File is from a region or revision Dusk doesn't list.
  • File has been modified, repacked, or trimmed.
  • File is corrupt — try recopying from your owned copy.
  • Wrong file selected in the prompt.

First safe fixes

Try in this order

  • Recompute SHA-1 of the file using /sha1-check.
  • Compare it character-for-character with /supported-versions.
  • Re-extract from your own copy if possible to get a clean file.
  • Confirm region (USA / EUR) matches a listed entry.
