What matters most
- Resolution + render scale: bigger impact than any single quality setting.
- Frame cap that matches your display's refresh rate.
- VSync to remove tearing.
- Anti-aliasing — TAA for stability, FXAA for cheap.
Ultrawide
Dusk supports ultrawide aspect ratios. Set your display to its native resolution and Dusk renders the scene with the correct field of view. See the ultrawide guide for caveats on UI placement.
120 FPS
Dusk supports high refresh rates. Set your target frame cap to one below your display’s refresh rate (e.g. 119 on 120 Hz) for clean pacing. See the 120 FPS guide for details.
Per-platform tips
- Steam Deck: stick to native 800p / 1280×800 unless docked.
- 4K display: drop render scale to 80% if your GPU is borderline.
- Mobile: leave most graphics options at default; phone GPUs vary widely.
